Cambridge Skeptics run monthly lectures... well, not quite lectures, more like talks in an open environment where anyone can join to learn more, express their opinions and quiz our experts (we always ensure plenty of time for questions). Enjoy a pint and something to eat whilst we explore modern issues and look to improve our critical thinking skills!

Our mission is to promote skepticism in a positive way. Being a skeptic is not about being negative or cynical, but instead about asking the right questions before either accepting or rejecting a claim. Being comfortable with not knowing but not being afraid to find the answers using the skills of critical thinking is what makes a good skeptic!

About Skeptics in the Pub

Skeptics in the Pub are groups which meet and converse in the UK and beyond, usually gathering once every month.

The event was founded in London, UK by Dr Scott Campbell in 1999, for all those interested in science, history, psychology, philosophy, investigative journalism and how to examine extraordinary claims of all types. A speaker (or number of speakers) is invited each month to present a topic of interest, which is followed by a discussion in a relaxed and friendly pub atmosphere.

The Skeptics in the Pub network was founded by Sid Rodrigues. A full list of the UK Skeptics in the Pub chapter locations and websites can be found at:
